Here are some past businesses from around the area remembered by Melvin Baker:

ELIZABETH-Acme Supermarket on South Broad Street, A&P Supermarket in North End of Elizabeth, The Brothers’ Restaurant on First Street, Brown’s Bakery on Elizabeth Avenue, Good Deal on Newark Avenue, Jean’s Beans at North End and there was also one on St. Georges Avenue in Linden and Wetson’s was on Rahway Avenue.

The balloon man was at the entrance to Warinanco Park.

In Linden was Lambert’s and Walt’s both on St. George Avenue.

Rahway had the RCA building on St. George Avenue.
