United Way Calls On Union County To “Get Hands On” For National Volunteer Week

ELIZABETH–United Way of Greater Union County is promoting National Volunteer Week, April 10 – April 16, which celebrates ordinary people doing extraordinary things to improve their communities. United Way has planned and is offering a number of different volunteer opportunities for community-minded individuals who are also willing to inspire others in helping to address community needs.

“National Volunteer Week is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities,” says James W. Horne Jr., President & CEO of United Way of Greater Union County. “It’s about demonstrating to the community that by working together, united, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.”
