ELIZABETH – On Tuesday, April 19, Groundwork Elizabeth will be hosting an information session at 6 p.m. about jobs in green-related field at Union County College’s Elizabeth campus.
This information session is for those interested in learning about career opportunities in the green field and to sign up for free courses that will be held in May. The session will provide information about jobs in solar installation, energy auditing, urban agriculture, floristry, gardening, arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping and landscape architecture, urban ecology, and more.
The courses, which will be held in May, at no cost to the participants, include, “Green Career Planning,” “Green Job Readiness,” and “Urban Gardening.” Guest speakers in the green jobs field will be featured. Each course will be held for three nights, from 6 to 9 p.m. per session.

The information session will be held on the fifth floor at the college’s Elizabeth campus, in its Kellogg Building located at 40 W. Jersey Street. Refreshments will be served.
