UNION — New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher visited Battle Hill School in Union on Thursday, March 31 to personally congratulate fourth grader Theodora Chrysanthopoulus, the 2010 statewide winner of the Bonnie Plants Third Grade Cabbage Program.  The program gives students across the country free “oversized” cabbage plants to grow at home.  At the end of the season, teachers select the student in their class that has grown the best cabbage, based on size and appearance. Chrysanthopoulus received a $1,000 scholarship towards education. Shown from left to right are Michael and Christina Chrysanthopoulus, their daughter, Theodora and Secretary Douglas H. Fisher.
