Springfield Library Helps Unravel The Mysteries Of Medicare

SPRINGFIELD — On Monday, April 4, at 7 p.m., the Springfield Free Public Library will devote this month’s current events meeting to a discussion of SHIP of Union County.

SHIP stands for the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, and Elyse Drucker, who is the program coordinator and can be found at Sage Eldercare in Summit will lead the discussion.  Included topics will be: how much insurance is really needed, who to call if there is a question about a claim, what are the gaps in Medicare coverage, does Medicare pay for nursing home care, what are the new Medicare regulations and how they will affect you, plus many other areas of concern.

If you are a Medicare beneficiary and a resident of Union County with questions about Medicare claims, supplemental polities, or long-term care insurance, SHIP can help answer them.

The Springfield Free Public Library is located at 66 Mountain Avenue.  For further information, call 1-973-376-4930.
