NEW YORK, N.Y. – Nintendo’s highly-anticipated 3D handheld video game system will go on sale on Sunday.

Gamers who want to be among the first to get the new Nintendo 3DS™ can go to the Union Square Best Buy store at the corner of East 14th Street and Fourth Avenue, where the system will go on sale at midnight on March 27.


Starting at noon on Saturday, March 26, gamers can try out the new system with playable demos of  titles like Super Street Fighter® IV 3D Edition from CAPCOM, Madden NFL Football from EA SPORTS, LEGO® Star Wars® III: The Clone Wars™ from LucasArts™ and Asphalt™ 3D from UBISOFT at Union Square Park, across the street from the store.

The first 300 customers to purchase the system at the midnight event will receive a special carrying case.
