Clark Brownies Sell Cookies To Help Boy With Cancer

CLARK – Girls from Brownie Troop 249 from F.K. Hehnly Elementary School in Clark were busy this past month selling boxes and boxes of Girl Scout Cookies. Typically, a percentage of the profits from the cookie sales goes to the troop to fund trips and supplies. This year, however, the girls decided to do something else with the money they raised.

Jason Condit is a seven-year-old boy who was diagnosed with stage four cancer in three parts of his body. For the past six months, Jason has spent much of his life in the hospital and on chemotherapy.  Now Jason is awaiting his first operation.

An organization called “Jason’s Friends” has been formed to raise funds for Jason and his family to help with the costs of medical bills. The girls are proud to donate towards this organization and hope that Jason knows that they are all his “friends” and hope he feels better real soon.

To make a donation, make checks payable to “Jason’s Friends” and mail to Jason’s Friends c/o Century 21 JRS Realty, 138 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066.
