ELIZABETH—Aetna and the Trinitas Regional Medical Center announced a new long-term agreement on Friday that will keep the Medical Center in network, without interruption, for all Aetna members.
The new agreement also will enable Trinitas-affiliated physicians who currently participate with Aetna to continue their participation uninterrupted.
“This agreement reflects the genuine commitment both parties have had to the process of negotiating an agreement that is in the best interest of all parties concerned – especially the Trinitas patients who are our members, and the many local businesses that pay for their health coverage,” said Michael S. Costa, New Jersey network head for Aetna. “Trinitas has been a strong collaborator in our efforts to hold down costs for members and their plan sponsors while continuing to deliver quality health care services.”
“I am pleased that our negotiations with Aetna have reached a successful conclusion and that we may continue providing health care services to our valued customers who have Aetna coverage,” said Gary S. Horan, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
