RAHWAY – The Rahway Branch NAACP will hold a Candidates’ Night Forum on tonight to allow community members to meet the candidates seeking seats on the Board of Education.

The 7 p.m. forum will provide an opportunity for Rahway residents to share their concerns and ask questions of the candidates. It will be held at Ebenezer AME Church, 253 Central Avenue, Rahway.

Four candidates are running for three seats on the school board. Incumbents Deborah Bridges, Peter Kowal and Edward Quinn are seeking re-election. Ray Lopez is hoping to win a spot on the board.

This year’s election will be held on Wednesday, April 27. School elections are normally held on the third Tuesday in April, but that would conflict with a religious holiday this year.
