EDISON – Third-grade students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School taught second graders about Native American culture during Pow Wow sessions in the classrooms of Kathy Merklinger and Katherine Heiss. The third-graders made presentations on where Native Americans lived, made homes and got food and clothing from nature around them. Third graders Jane Anderson-Schmitt of Scotch Plains and Aashraya Singiri of Edison and other students performed skits as part of the program. (Photo by Rudy Brandl of Fanwood)
