RAHWAY — Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently received a grant from The New Jersey State Parent Information & Resource Center.  The funds allowed the school to set up a “Parent Resource Center” outside the main offices with a computer and printer for parents and guardians to use which includes internet access. There is also a suggestion box, pamphlets and resources for parents and guardians.  Parents entering the school are welcomed by this inviting center and are encouraged to use it as a resource.  Communication about school programs, community programs, and resources to assist parents with their child’s learning are all available.  On March 8, NJPIRC recently presented Franklin Elementary School with the “Rising Star Award” in recognition of the school’s enduring commitment to parent engagement.
