UNION TOWNSHIP — A Democrats for Change candidate for Township Committee in the June 2010 primary election will be unopposed in his bid for the Board of Education.
Eduardo Espinal finished third behind victors Clifton People and Suzette Cavadas last year, in a reform campaign waged to restore the kind of spirit that once defined public service in Union Township.
Espinal is a District Sales Manager at Sysco Foods who earned his Executive MBA from Kean University in 2009 and is a member of Lambda Theta Phi.
He is a board member of the Central Jersey Latino Chamber of Commerce, served as president of the Association of Latin American Students and held office as vice president of Student Government while pursuing his BS in Marketing Management at Kean University from 1993 to 1998.
Espinal also served on the Stakeholders Advisory Board for Newark Vocational High School and he is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4504.
Also seeking election without opposition in the township are Vito Nufrio and current board member Francis R. Perkins.
