College Foundation Plans First Casino Night Fundraiser

EDISON — The Middlesex County College Foundation is planning a night of make-believe gambling on Friday, April 8 at the Rosewood, 2863 Woodbridge Avenue in Edison. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; the games begin at 6 p.m.

“This event will be a lot of fun,” said Rose Cofone, the foundation’s executive director. “In an exciting casino atmosphere, attendees will get $50 in fake chips that they can use to ‘gamble’ to win tickets to put in the tricky trays for terrific prizes and prize packages. Besides offering a wonderful time, this fundraising event will help the Foundation to continue its mission to support deserving students through greatly needed scholarships.”

The admission fee of $75 includes $50 in fake chips and a buffet with desserts, as well as one drink per person (cash bar is available). Participants must be 21 years of age. The event is business attire.
