March 7 at 5:28 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Brooklyn, N.Y. resident Milan Stojka, 39, and charged him with hindering apprehension. He was also issued summonses for motor several vehicle violations and subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Also arrested was Newark resident Victoria Horvath, 38, on outstanding warrants from Bloomfield and Newark. She was subsequently released after posting bail pending court dates.

March 8 at 9:29 a.m. – Officer Christian Lott investigated a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle, which was parked at 140 Central Avenue.

March 9 at 12:07 a.m. – At Headquarters, Officer Antonio Manata arrested Newark resident Jeremiah Watts, 28, and charged him with false swearing, hindering apprehension, possession of fictitious insurance cards and possession of fictitious government identification. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

March 9 at 6:23 p.m. – In the vicinity of 76 Central Avenue, Det. Alex Yanes arrested Port Monmouth resident Anthony Cadalzo, 25, on an outstanding warrant from Middletown for contempt of court. He was also charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia. He was subsequently released pending a court date.

March 12 at 7:44 a.m. – Officer Keith Meehan investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a John Street residence.

March 12 at 11:43 a.m. – At the Middlesex County Jail, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Newark resident Steven McPeek, 29, on outstanding warrants from Clark, Harding Twp., Kearny, Rahway and Rutherford for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

March 12 at 4:25 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Brian Renda arrested Newark resident Carolyn Williams, 43, and charged her with shoplifting at the Shop-Rite Supermarket. She was also detained on outstanding warrants totaling $2,650 from Newark for contempt of court and subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date.
