Task Force Investigating Elizabeth Homicide

ELIZABETH — The Union County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force is investigating the discovery of a partially decomposed body that was found Monday afternoon near Pine Street and Front Street in Elizabeth, Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow said.

An autopsy was performed this morning by the county medical examiner and the death was determined to be homicide. Efforts are being made to identify the victim and the Homicide Task Force is continuing to gather and examine evidence, Romankow said.
