New Brunswick Stabbing Victim In Critical Condition

NEW BRUNSWICK — A 24-year-old man remained in critical condition today after being stabbed in New Brunswick on March 4, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and New Brunswick Police Director Peter Mangarella announced.

The victim, whose last known address was in New Brunswick, is being treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was taken after he was stabbed on Baldwin Street near the Joyce Kilmer Avenue intersection. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.


An investigation by Detective Ronoldy Martinez of the New Brunswick Police Department and Investigator Scott Crocco of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that the victim was riding a bicycle on Baldwin Street when he was stabbed shortly before 3:12 p.m. on March 4.

The investigation began after police received a 911 call at 3:12 p.m. from an unidentified passer-by. Police said that no arrests have been made, but the investigation is continuing.
