Library Announces International Film Festival

UNION — The Union Public Library continues its International Film Festival with three selections for spring 2011, beginning on Tuesday, March 8 and continuing through May 3.  Three countries are represented in the program: Vietnam, Israel, and Argentina.

The films will be presented twice, with show times beginning at 2 and at 6:30 p.m.  Admission to the screenings is free.


The Vietnamese drama, “Owl and the Sparrow,” opens the series on March 8.  “Ajami,” a drama by Israeli and Arab filmmakers follows on April 5 and on May 3 the Academy Award winning film from Argentina, “The Secret in Their Eyes,” will be screened.
