EDISON — A musical performance, poetry reading, theater trip and a game show are all scheduled for the celebration of Women’s History Month at Middlesex County College in March. All except the theater trip are free and will be held in the College Center on the Edison campus.
Monday, March 7 is the Women’s History Game Show at 11 a.m. Contestants will answer questions about women’s history and win prizes.
Noted poet Gabriela Garcia Medina will read her work Tuesday March 8 at noon.
On Wednesday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 30, a sexual assault information table will be set up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Monday, March 28, “Simple Gifts,” a classical musical group, will perform at 11 a.m.
College students, faculty, staff and alumni will travel to Broadway to see a new play, “Wonderland” on Thursday, March 31. Labeled “Alice through a whole new looking glass,” the play is a different take on the childhood classic. Tickets are on sale for MCC students starting March 18 at $25, and by lottery starting March 22 for faculty, staff and alumni at $35.
