RAHWAY — The Union County Homicide Task Force arrested a man yesterday afternoon in connection with last week’s Rahway homicide, Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow announced.
Miguel M. Floyd, 25, was charged in the shooting death of Pierrelious Betchly, 40, who was discovered at a Wilson Avenue residence just after 5 a.m. on Feb. 21. Betchly was transported to University Hospital in Newark where he died from his injuries around 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 21, Romankow said.
Floyd was arrested around 4 p.m. on Feb. 28 following an investigation by the Homicide Task Force and the Rahway Police Department. He is currently being held at the Union County Jail on $500,000 bail.
