Task Force Investigates Elizabeth Shooting

ELIZABETH — The Union County Homicide Task Force is investigating a shooting that took place Sunday evening in Elizabeth, Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow said Monday.

The 20-year-old victim was shot around 8 p.m. while inside a vehicle near the area of North Broad Street and Fairmount Avenue, said Romankow. The victim is in critical condition at University Hospital.

Romankow said that the circumstances around the shooting are under investigation and no arrests have been made. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Union County Crime Stoppers at 1-908-654-TIPS, by texting UCTIP to 274637, or online at www.uctip.org.
