RAHWAY – During February, students at Madison Elementary School in Rahway wrote biographies about some important black figures in history. Pictured are some fourth grade students from Mrs.Klein’s class and their first grade buddies from Ms. Lund and Mrs. Urbano’s classes. The two grade levels collaborated for black history month. The fourth graders helped research with their first grade partners important black figures in history. A short biography was written and presented by the first graders, who dressed in costumes the day of the presentations. The fourth graders created PowerPoint slide collages of the people being researched, which was on a screen during the presentations. (Photo courtesy of Rahway Middle School)
