RAHWAY — The Union County Homicide Task Force is investigating Monday’s fatal shooting of a Rahway man, Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow announced.
Rahway police were called to a residence on the 300 block Wilson Avenue around 5 a.m. on Monday where they found the victim, Pierrelious Betchly, 40, suffering from gunshot wounds. Betchly died from his injuries around 2:50 p.m. on Monday at University Hospital in Newark.
This remains an active investigation by the Homicide Task Force and the Rahway Police Department, said Romankow. No arrests have been made and detectives are working to identify a motive for the shooting.
