Students Celebrate Their Heritage

LINDEN – At Saints Mary and Elizabeth Academy in Linden, diversity is celebrated throughout the year.  Last week, the celebrations kicked into high gear during Catholic Schools Week.  The week’s festivities began with Heritage Day presentations.

Academy students presented foods and clothing from their native countries on such continents as South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. A few other countries represented were Puerto Rico, Haiti, and Belize. Other activities during the week included Sharing Day, Spelling Bee and culminated with talent show.
