Linden Makes It Easier To Sign Up For City Senior IDs

LINDEN — Linden residents 50 years of age or older may register for a Senior Citizen Identification Card  Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  at the John T. Gregorio Center, 330 Helen Street. Previously, the I.D. cards were distributed on the first Tuesday of each month.

Senior citizens must bring proof of age, proof of Linden residency and their Social Security card.  The I.D. cards are necessary for identification on the city-operated senior citizen buses.


The I.D. Card Program, which has been in existence since 1975, is sponsored by the Department of Public Property and Community Services and conducted for Linden senior citizens.  To date, nearly 2,000 identification cards has been issued to city seniors.
