EDISON–Children’s Specialized Hospital will host a special seminar, “2011 Trends in Autism: Hear from the Experts” on March 18 at the Pines Manor in Edison for the parents and professionals caring and treating children with autism.
This is the hospital’s third conference focused on autism spectrum disorders. Some of the country’s major thought leaders in autism research and treatment will present cutting-edge findings on diagnosis and treatment as well as practical approaches for daily living activities, mealtime strategies, facilitation of friendships, safety, and emergency preparedness.
Speakers include renowned experts Daniel Coury, MD; David S. Mandell, ScD; Audrey Thurm, Ph.D.; professionals at Children’s Specialized Hospital; and parents who will share experiences and field questions about successes, challenges, and services that affect their lives with children who have autism.
The symposium is a full-day conference for medical and educational professionals, program administrators, therapists, parents and care providers.
