Literacy Volunteers To Conduct Free GED Test Prep Class

SPRINGFIELD — Literacy Volunteers of Union County will conduct a 15-week GED Test Preparation Program beginning March 7 and concluding June 20.  The sessions will be held at the Springfield Public Library, 66 Mountain Avenue, Springfield.

Classes are offered each Monday in mathematics.  Tuesday classes include essay writing, and comprehension for reading, social studies and science.  The sessions begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at noon.  Advance registration is required to attend.

Literacy Volunteers launched the GED Preparation Program in 2008.  Volunteer tutors work with the adult learners throughout the 15 weeks to ensure their success. Students who have completed the program and taken the GED test are now the proud holders of high school equivalency diplomas.
