CRANFORD—A representative of SCORE tell you “How to Write a Dynamite Business Plan” a free seminar at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, on Tuesday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m.
There are two reasons to write a business plan. First, a banker will require it as a condition of getting a bank loan. Second, and more important, the writing of a business plan forces you to think through every step of your start-up. How will you market your products or services? Will you make them yourselves or have them made? How much you will you charge for them? Who are your competitors, and what you can offer that they don’t? How will you finance your company, and how will you budget the available funds?
These questions and many others will have to be answered before you start your business, and failure is virtually assured if you do not have the answers. The speaker will be veteran SCORE counselor Richard Berek, who has started two businesses and has had a long and successful sales career.
The program is sponsored by the Cranford Public Library and all are welcome. Registration is required. To register, call the library at 1-908-709-7272 and ask for John Malar.
