RAHWAY – The RWJ Rahway Foundation and the Rose Ball Committee will present the Order of the Rose to Elizabethtown Gas Company and induct hospital Board of Governors member and former chairman Ron Kowalczyk into the 2011 Guardians of the Rose.
The honors will be bestowed at the Rose Ball Goes Hollywood gala on Saturday evening, April 16, at the Hotel Westminster in Livingston. Reservations are $225 per person.
“The Rose Ball Goes Hollywood promises to be an exciting evening of glamour, glitz and glitter,” said Rose Ball Chairman Christine Kline.
Elizabethtown Gas Company is being recognized for their outstanding support of RWJ Rahway. With roots that stretch back to 1855, Elizabethtown Gas today serves more the 269,000 residential, business and industrial natural gas customers in New Jersey. They believe in supporting the hospital in their service territory with their time, talent and dollars, foundation officials said. Elizabethtown Gas has been a financial supporter of RWJ Rahway for several years, as well as providing guidance and support on the Foundation Board.
Ron Kowalczyk is the 2011 recipient of the Guardians of the Rose for his long-time dedication, commitment and support of RWJ Rahway. He joined the RWJ Rahway Board of Governors in 1985 and served as Chairman from 1996 to 1998. He presently serves on the board’s planning, finance, legal and audit and governance committees, and has chaired these committees during his board tenure. He is retired from the oil industry where he worked for 37 years.
Foundation Chairman Bunny Bowen said, “The Rose Ball Committee is fortunate to have Christine Kline at the helm for the past 13 years, along with her hard-working committee.”
The Rose Ball Committee members are Trustee Marguerite Bejgrowicz; Foundation Chairman Bunny Bowen; Vice-Chairman Michele Chen; Trustee Roberta Geyer; Immediate Past Chairman Joe Gibilisco; Lillian Heide; Foundation Secretary Bonnie Josephs; Joan Katen; Rosanne Krewedl; Trustee Frank Light, M.D.; Foundation President Marlene H. Lubinger; President & CEO Kirk Tice; Northfield Bank Rahway Manager Maria Weinstein, and Elizabethtown Gas Company Trustee Timothy Williams.
Kline said, “Why not give a gift that can give back by purchasing a Rose Ball 50/50 cash raffle ticket and help your community hospital at the same time? Only 1,000 tickets at $50 each will be sold. The ten winners will share 50% of the amount received for all tickets sold.”
Proceeds from the gala will benefit the programs and services of RWJ Rahway, helping the hospital to continue providing the state-of-the-art healthcare services for their patients and the community.
