State Theatre Plans Celebration For Lennon’s 70th Birthday

NEW BRUNSWICK— The State Theatre will present “John Lennon – 70th Birthday Celebration starring Glen Burtnik & Friends” on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m.

Glen Burtnik & Friends perform a special concert celebrating the life and music of John Lennon. Regular tickets range from $22-42. Specially discounted tickets priced at $23 are available for this performance as part of the State Theatre’s “MakeNoise” promotion. Just mention the promotional code “MakeNoise” when ordering tickets to receive the discount (not all seating sections apply). Customers can also receive a $5 OFF per ticket discount when mentioning promo code “LENNON5” (cannot be combined with “MakeNoise”).

Performing alongside Burtnik is Earl Slick (Bowie, Double Fantasy), Pat Dinizio (Smithereens), Lisa Bouchelle, Kim Pulsive (The F Bombers), Bob Burger, Christine Martucci, a choir, strings, and horns. The concert will include John Lennon classics such as “Imagine,” “Come Together,” “Strawberry Fields Forever,” “In My Life,” “Give Peace a Chance,” and more.
