Miss America To Visit Woodbridge

ISELIN – Newly crowned Miss America, Teresa Scanlan, will visit American Signature Furniture’s newest retail location on Feb. 12. The store is located west of the Woodbridge Center Mall at 429 US Highway 1 South, Iselin.

“We’re very excited to have Teresa visit our location,” said Peter Rabe, store manager. “The opportunity to have such a unique and engaging individual introduce the public to our Miss America Youth Collection will be a pleasure for the Woodbridge community.”

Scanlan is the second youngest Miss America winner in the competition’s 90-year history. Just 18 years old, her ability to relate to younger generations of women is a trait few before her have possessed.

In addition to taking pictures and signing autographs, Scanlan will also be hosting a canned food drive in support of local food pantries. Admission, autographs and pictures are free, and families are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to donate.

“Giving back to local communities is a top priority of ours,” stated Bryan Beam, COO of American Signature Furniture. “With help from Teresa, we will once again be able to partner with Miss America to give back to those in need.”

Scanlan will be available to the public for pictures and autographs from 1 to 4 p.m. and families of all ages are encouraged to attend.
