EDISON — Hua Liu’s Mandarin Chinese students and 12 international students from The Wardlaw-Hartridge School made authentic Jiaozi Chinese dumplings on Thursday, Feb. 3, to celebrate Chinese New Year (the Year of the Rabbit).

The students, who formed their own wonton wrappers and stuffed them with meat and vegetarian fillings, learned that the dumplings are considered “lucky” because of their historical resemblance to Chinese money.
