Union Library Announces February Children’s Programs

UNION — The Children’s Department of the Union Public Library has scheduled the following programs at the Main Library during the month of February:

Mother Goose Time, for children 1 ½ – 2 ½ and their caregivers, will be held on Tuesdays, February 1st, 8th and 15th at 10:30am.  No registration required.

Preschool Storytime for children 3 ½ through kindergarten will be held on Wednesdays, February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd at 10:30am.  No registration required.

Have you always wanted to learn how to play chess? Do you already know how to play but would like to get better? Join the Chess Program on Wednesdays, February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd from 3:00 – 5:30pm.  Mrs. Render Cutts will teach children ages 6 and up about the game.  No registration required.

Toddler Time, for children 2 ½ – 3 ½ and their caregivers, will be held on Thursdays, February 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th at 10:30am.  No registration required.

Valentine’s Day Storytime and Craft Program on Saturday, February 5th at 11:00am.  Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Come in your pajamas for songs, stories and games at Bedtime Storytime to be held on Monday, February 7th at 7:00pm.  Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

A Storytime and Craft Program honoring Margaret Wise Brown, author of such classics as “Goodnight Moon” and “The Runaway Bunny” will be held on Monday, February 14th at 7:00pm. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend.  No registration required.

Is the snow getting you down?  Are you suffering from those Mid-Winter Blues? Then, come to the Library on Friday. February 18th at 11:00am for our Mid-Winter Party filled with stories, music, games, crafts and food.  Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend.  No registration required.  Don’t miss a great party.

The Saturday Storytime and Craft Program will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 11:00am.  Children of all ages and their caregivers are welcome to attend.  No registration required.

The Library will be celebrating National Bird Feeding Month with a Birds Storytime and Craft Program on Tuesday, February 22nd at 11:00am.  Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Monday, February 28th is Nation Tooth Fairy Day and the Children’s Department will be celebrating with a Tooth Fairy Storytime and Craft Program at 7:00pm.  Children of all ages and their caregivers are welcome to attend.  No registration required.

Preschoolers, 4 and 5 years of age, and their caregivers are invited to the Preschool Storytime and Craft Programs to be held on Tuesdays, February 1st and 15th at 11:00am.  Space is limited.  Signup is required.

Celebrate Black History Month at the Children’s Afterschool Film Series to be held on Wednesdays, February 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 3:15pm. Children of all ages are invited to attend.  No registration required.
