Over the last four years, Lettera has served as a member of the Center For Hope Hospice’s Board of Trustees. In 2009, he organized the first Center For Hope Hospice 5K Run/Walk, which drew 100 participants. The honoree dedicated the 2010 5K Run/Walk in memory of his nephew, Patrick Allocca. This fundraiser brought in over 400 participants and over $30,000. Lettera is also an integral member of the Center For Hope Hospice’s Development Committee, which raises funds for patients who do not have the ability to pay for services.

This year, two community service awards will be presented at the charity ball. Stagehouse Tavern, Scotch Plains, will receive the Community Business For Hope Award, due to its benevolent support of the Center For Hope Hospice and its mission. Linda Weaver, will receive the Community Service Award for her commitment to the Center For Hope Auxiliary and her dedication as a Center For Hope Hospice volunteer.

The purpose of the hospice’s annual ball is for friends and benefactors of Center For Hope Hospice to come together with administration, staff, and the Board of Trustees to reflect on past milestones, celebrate goals and achievements, and pledge monetary support for the future of quality end-of-life care provided by Center For Hope Hospice.

Center For Hope Hospice’s mission is to provide terminally ill patients, their families and loved ones with the natural, humane care known as hospice. Center For Hope Hospice’s services provide physical, emotional and spiritual support during times of need, without concern for race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or ability to pay.

The ticket price for the Center For Hope Hospice 28th Annual Charity Ball is $100. For more information, or to order tickets, contact Barbara Witt at 1-908-288-9112.
