Local Business Supports Community FoodBank of NJ With “Deposit $1 of Hope” Fundraiser

STATE – To benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), The Provident Bank will once again host a “Deposit $1 of Hope” fundraising drive at each of its 80 plus branches. The fundraiser begins Friday, Jan. 14 and will run through Monday, Feb. 28.

“More than 10 percent of New Jersey households are food insecure,” said Jean Quinn, vice president of corporate communications at The Provident Bank. “The Community FoodBank needs our help more than ever. With the increasing number of working poor families and unemployed residents visiting food pantries, every donation makes a difference.”

For every dollar contributed to the CFBNJ, the organization distributes $8 to $11 worth of food and groceries to local food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and homeless shelters. For those interested in making a donation to CFBNJ, stop by any Provident branch.
