I know abortion is a controversial topic. But as we approach the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade (Jan. 22), which made abortion legal, let us reflect on some facts.
The baby in the womb is human. The heartbeat begins in about 22 days after conception. At eight weeks, the baby is well-proportioned, about the size of a thumb. Liver, heart and kidneys are formed. This is a person!
If a woman feels she cannot raise this baby, she should put the child up for adoption. There are many who want a child and there are no regrets.
The reason most women give for having an abortion is “Having a baby would change my life.” This is no reason to end a life.
