Sayreville Library Offers Career Programs In January

SAYREVILLE – The Sayreville Public Library will offer several programs this month to help people who are seeking new jobs and financial success.

The “A New Year & A New Career Series” begins on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Dr. Colleen Georges, a certified professional resume writer and career coach, will share her tips for making your resume stand out from the crowd, acing your job interview, and optimizing your search strategies for finding that dream job.  There are three evening sessions: Resume Help on Tuesday, Jan. 11; Acing Your Interview on Thursday, Jan. 13 and Job Searching Strategies on Tuesday, Jan. 18. Did you know that if you are unemployed you may be eligible to enroll in occupation-specific training programs for free?  Find out if you are eligible and what you need to do to take advantage of this opportunity in a program brought to you by New Jersey’s One-stop Career Center. There will be two sessions on Wednesday, Jan. 19 – one at 10 a.m. and one at 1 p.m. Visit to register.

Success doesn’t just happen.  It’s planned. Learn how to effectively create, strategize and activate your plan for success. Through the “A Successful You! Planning Your Success” seminar you’ll learn effective ways to define your objectives, and utilize structured methods to achieve success.

“Planning Your Success” is the first of a three part series and will take place on Saturday, Jan. 22.  “Look for Attracting Joy” on Feb. 12 and “Turn Your Goals to Gold” on March 12. Visit to register.

The Sayreville Public Library and The Society for Financial Awareness will present Getting Fiscally Fit on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

In this financial seminar you will learn:

  • The basic principles of cash management
  • How to accumulate wealth
  • How to locate & maximize discretionary income

  • The roadblocks to financial success
