ELIZABETH – On Saturday, Jan. 8, beginning at 9 a.m. Union County College Division of Economic Development and Continuing Education will be hosting an open house those interested in learning more about the various certificate programs and enrichment courses offered during the spring semester.
The open house is an opportunity to learn about the many certificate programs offered, computer classes, courses and certificate programs in Spanish, GED courses, and leisure and personal enrichment courses. Those in attendance will also be able to register for classes. The open house will be held in the college’s Kellogg Building located at 40 West Jersey Street in Elizabeth.
Union County College offers many certificate programs that can be completed in one semester. Some examples of the certificates include Certified Bookkeeper, Certified Patient Care Technician, Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Certified EKG Technician, Homeland Security Emergency Management & Planning Certificate, Personal Trainer National Certification, Real Estate Sales, and Substitute Teacher Specialist.
Some of the certificates are also offered in Spanish and include the Children’s Care-Giver Program, Floral Design, and Pharmacy Certified Technician.
