CLARK — Staff and students from the after school child care program at the Valley Road Elementary School in Clark are participating in the Flat Stanley project.

Inspired by Jeff Brown’s children’s book “Flat Stanley,” the project is an international literacy and community building activity for students of all ages, teachers and families. Students participating in the project read the book and create their own version of Flat Stanley. They typically keep a journal about Flat Stanley’s activities for a few days, then mail it and the cutout to others who are asked to treat Flat Stanley as a guest and keep up the journal.
