Union County Seniors Can Take Free Classes At College

UNION COUNTY – Registration for the spring 2011 session of Union County College’s Senior Scholars program got underway today.

County residents ages 60 and over can sign up for free classes in a variety of subjects, including cooking, art, dance and computers. New offerings include the popular Zumba Latin dance program, a book club, and a birding course.

Classes begin during the third week of January. Registration is required in person, at Union County College offices:

The college’s main campus, located at 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Elizabeth campus, located at 40 West Jersey Street is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
