Linden Police Arrests Suspects In August Burglary

LINDEN – Police have arrested three suspects in an August home burglary, authorities announced.

Two 19-year-old North Brunswick residents – Mario Tasiguaro and Anthony Basantes – as well as a 15-year-old Linden girl were charged following a three month investigation by Detectives Walter Durham Jr. and Andrew Spano.

On Aug. 12, a 31-year-old woman reported that someone had entered her apartment on the 400 block of Academy Terrace through a screened window at some point during the day. Her bedroom had been ransacked and jewelry, a laptop computer, a pair of Ugg boots and a jar of change were taken. Detectives have recovered the computer.

Tasiguaro and Basantes were arrested yesterday in North Brunswick. They are charged with burglary and theft, and bail was set at $20,000 each. The teen girl was arrested in early November and was remanded to the Union County Juvenile Detention Center.
