Man Accused Of Shoplifting Computers, Security System

LINDEN – Police arrested a 52-year-old East Windsor man yesterday and charged him with shoplifting, authorities said.

Daniel S. Herrera was being held on $27,500 cash bail following his arrest for third degree shoplifting and possession of a fraudulent or altered receipt, police said.

Herrera allegedly attempted to take two Hewlett Packard computers and a 16-channel security system from Sam’s Club on East Linden Avenue Wednesday morning. Herrera also allegedly had a fraudulent sales receipt in his possession. The merchandise was valued at $3,896.
