EDISON — Tod Wilson, the owner of Mr. Tod’s Pie Factory, conducted a pie-making demonstration Dec. 2 at a Food Preparation class at Middlesex County College. Engaging, informative and funny, he explained the dough-making process, and encouraged the culinary students to use only the best ingredients.

“A great pie starts with great dough,” he said.

Wilson then assisted as the students created their own pies. Mr. Tod’s Pie Factory is in Somerset and online at whybake.com. He was the first contestant on an ABC-TV show, Shark Tank, in which entrepreneurs present their businesses and seek funding from the judges, who are also investors.

“My goal is to make Mr. Tod’s Pies a national brand,” he said.
