YM-YWHA Launches Film Series

UNION – The YM-YWHA of Union County will begin its winter/spring film series on Sunday, Dec. 19 with “Inglorious Bastards.” The film, staring Brad Pitt and nominated for eight Academy awards, is rated R and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18.

The film series continues on Sunday, Jan. 16 with “Arranged.” This film, which has not been rated, was a winner at both the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival and the Brooklyn International Film Festival.


On Sunday, March 13, watch the Coen brothers’ “A Serious Man.” This film, rated R, was nominated for both Best Picture and Best Screenplay last year.

All movies begin at 1 p.m. and most will be shown on the large screen in Gering Hall at the Y, 501 Green Lane, Union. Admission is $3 for members and $5 for guests; all seats must be reserved in advance. For information, call 1-908-289-8112.
