HIGHLAND PARK – Families of children with autism can learn how to support other siblings at a free workshop in Highland Park next month.
Siblings of children with autism and other disabilities can have difficulty understanding their brothers and sisters’ challenges and needs. The speaker will discuss developmentally appropriate information, review skills to teach siblings, and facilitate a group discussion in which parents will be encouraged to share their questions, ideas, and experiences.
This event is free, and will be held on Dec. 9 from 7-9 p.m. at the Highland Park Middle School, 330 Wayne Street, Highland Park. For more information, visit http://autismnj.org/WorkshopsEvents.aspx
