ELIZABETH — Students of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy in Elizabeth are pictured with some of the items they collected during a Food Drive that they packaged into Thanksgiving baskets for members of the community. The drive ran for 10 days in November, and resulted in a large number of food items collected.

The drive is the first project of the newly-formed Rotary EarlyAct Club at the school. More than 40 children are involved in the EarlyAct Club, which is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Elizabeth and encourages young people to recognize the dignity and worth of each individual and carry out character-building activities that will prepare them for leadership roles. Teacher Patricia Marques serves as the EarlyAct Club advisor.
