St. Theresa Students Earn Awards

KENILWORTH — On Wednesday, Nov. 10, Saint Theresa School in Kenilworth was one of seven that attended the Union County Catholic League of Forensics Reading Competition held at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Academy in Linden.

Saint Theresa’s team consisted of six students: eighth graders Angela Bui, Joshua Riley and Ashley Skrec, seventh graders Conchetta Aronowitz and Katrina McCarthy and sixth grader Deanna Vaguiero. Three out of the six participates advanced to the final round. Aronowitz was awarded an honorable mention ribbon; McCarthy was awarded third place: and Bui was awarded second place.
