Plainfield Dairy Queen To Raise Money For Children’s Miracle Network

PLAINFIELD – Plainfield Dairy Queen at 1367 South Avenue will be hosting a fundraising event for Children’s Miracle Network on Nov. 20 to launch a three-month fundraising campaign.

On Nov. 20 – “Dairy Queen Community Day,” Plainfield Dairy Queen will be donating $1 for every treat sold between the hours of 1 – 6 p.m. back to Children’s Miracle Network’s local member hospital, Children’s Specialized Hospital. They are also inviting all patrons to take a free tour of behind the scenes at Dairy Queen!

The event will kick off their three month “Cakes for Kids” campaign, which will donate $3 back for every cake sold between Nov. 20 and Feb. 20, 2011 with mention of “Cakes for Kids” or “Children’s Miracle Network.” This lengthy fundraising campaign also hopes to establish DQ cakes as the dessert of choice for not only birthdays, but for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah, New Years, the Superbowl and Valentine’s Day.

“Our family has been serving the community since 1975,” said Donna Albanese, owner of Plainfield DQ. “We love to give back and we love partnering with Children’s Specialized because there is nothing more important than happy and healthy children.”
