UNION – The Abiuso family, missionaries who have spent more than five years in Mexico, will visit Calvary Assembly on Nov. 21 for the church’s Missionary Sunday. The evening worship service begins at 6:30 p.m.

Chris and Julie Abiuso, and their children Nathaniel and Andrew, are from New Jersey and have been in Guadalajara, Mexico for 5 ½ years. Julie, a third generation Assemblies missionary, was born in Guadalajara. Chris met Julie after graduating from Evangel University.

As former school teachers, the Abiusos’ primary ministry is to children. However, they have been involved in a variety of different ministries in Mexico. In their first two years, they helped plant a church and build a Latin America Child Care School in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The Abiusos have been part of an outdoor Sunday School every Saturday morning. From that ministry came a girls’ youth group that meets weekly. They work with the school and two orphanages. The family dreams of starting an orphanage of their own.

Calvary Assembly of God holds weekly worship services on Sundays at 8:45 and 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at 953 West Chestnut Street, Union. An 11 a.m. worship service is also offered Sundays at 172 Springfield Avenue, Berkeley Heights. For more information, visit www.CalvaryAssembly.tv or call 1-908-964-1133.
