LINDEN – Children’s book author Sarah Sullivan recently visited Linden School Eight to share her stories and assist third and fourth grade students in brainstorming and writing their own personal narratives.
Sullivan resides in West Virginia and shared with students how she used her personal life experiences to create the characters in her picture books, “Dear Baby,” “Once Upon a Baby Brother,” and “Rootbeer and Banana.”
The students were excited to meet a real author. Many students wrote letters to Sullivan asking her questions about her books or sharing their favorite parts of a story. Sullivan also conducted read alouds in the first and second grades and did a book signing during the lunch periods.
