EDISON — On Wednesday, Nov. 10, Lower School students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in North Edison were visited by children’s author Mary Ann Castagnetta in the school’s Lower Snowdon Library.
During the visit, which was sponsored by the school’s Parents’ Association, Ms. Castagnetta read her books, “Bubble Gum Dreams” and “Elephant Soup?” She also explained how an idea for a book is born, how an illustrator is hired, and how a book eventually becomes published. Castagnetta emphasized that determination and commitment helped her accomplish this dream. She concluded, “It was a lot of work. But, if you want something bad enough and you stick to it, you can make it happen.”
